Who We Are
About Ashby & Croft
We’ve grown steadily for more than a decade – investing in people and equipment, making sure we stay fully compliant, and developing the resources to manage any need at any scale. But we’ve also kept our service very personal. You’ll be working directly with dedicated people who know you, understand what you want, and can turn things round fast.
We’ve recently relocated and upgraded to a freehold 4.3 acre yard in West Thurrock. As well as providing new capacity for temporary storage, it’s an ideal location for the City of London, regional construction projects and transport links for nationwide service.
We’ve also recently become an approved distribution point and regional depot for Containex – a leading specialist whose European style units can be transported into London without restriction.
One more thing sets us apart. We stay in control by keeping our skills in-house. From our own architect to all the trades who work on new installations and refits, we train our people our way – and keep the connection to our clients very close.
How can we play our part in conserving resources and protecting the environment? It’s something we believe in and take very seriously. One key way we put our belief into action is by recycling and reusing modular buildings and cabins for those who want to buy or hire second-hand.
Demolishing and sending old accommodation to landfill is the worst way to dispose of it. We routinely do the exact opposite. By stripping back existing units, recycling unusable materials and then refurbishing and refitting for a new application within the same shell, we give people a sound green option as well as cost benefits.
We buy from sustainable sources as many as possible of the materials that we use. This includes our timber – all of which comes from Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC) accredited sources.
We build high levels of energy efficiency into modular buildings – with effective insulation to reduce heat loss, eco boilers and super-efficient climate control and air conditioning systems. Even in our own offices we use LED lighting, PIR light switches and dual flush cisterns.
